We delayed writing this review in hopes that Outdoor Craftsmen would work with us to find a resolution, to no avail. As such, we want to share our experience in order to spare others from a similar situation. We had a very disappointing experience with Outdoor Craftsmen. We trusted them to provide and plant healthy trees. When one of the trees started to decline within a couple weeks of being planted, the owner of Outdoor Craftsmen showed a lack of concern after multiple follow-ups. This was before we even received the final bill and payment request. We resorted to hiring two different arborists who immediately identified a significant borer infestation and consequential woodpecker damage, along with significant trauma to the trunks of most of the trees they transported and planted. The tree in question died within a couple months of being planted despite proper irrigation. It's unacceptable for a professional landscaping company to sell trees in such condition and ignore concerns when presented. On multiple occasions we asked them to work with us to resolve the situation and they refused. We would not recommend Outdoor Craftsmen.

Update to OC response:
We were not asked to pick or inspect specific trees from their nursery, and customers aren't tree experts like OC, so customers should either be informed of tree conditions or OC shouldn't even have compromised plants in their nursery. To prove we didn't pick tree in question, there are no stock numbers on the invoice/contract OR on the trees we received so there'd be no way for their staff to have known which trees were "inspected".

We didn't receive a discount in lieu of a warranty, we simply agreed on a price with a handshake with the owner, but when it came time to sign a contract $3K in other fees were added which caused us to pull the plug on the project. The owner then agreed to the original amount for the trees. The contract states "no warranty on non-irrigated plants". These plants were irrigated.

We definitely have further concerns considering that you put a lien on our property for the payment of this dead tree despite our efforts to come to an amicable resolution.

We have been using Outdoor Craftsman as our property maintenance company for two years now and they do an excellent job! Emma, our main point of contact, is fantastic! She is very responsive when we have extra small projects and the team is pro-active in keeping the property looking beautiful! We also just completed an enhancement project with Scott, the owner. We are thrilled with the results! They built a beautiful stone and steel retaining wall around our sport court and planted new trees for added privacy. They also freshened up our entry grass and upgraded our irrigation in all these areas. We are very pleased and thankful to work with a company that takes great pride in their work!

After working with multiple other landscaping companies, I recently hired Outdoor Craftsman for some updates to my yard and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results! From the very beginning, their team was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. I worked with Chris who listened to all my concerns and issues, and provided thoughtful suggestions to enhance the overall design.

Once the actual work began, my expectations were exceeded by the entire team that worked on the project, including my Project Manager Ian who personally watered and cared for some struggling plants (that are now flourishing!). Not only was the work done efficiently and on time, but the team also made sure to leave everything clean and tidy each day and were very considerate. The communication throughout the process and the follow up was also fantastic.

The transformation was incredible and just what I was looking for! If you're looking for a reliable and thoughtful landscaping company that delivers exceptional results, I highly recommend Outdoor Craftsman.

We are thrilled with the work Outdoor Craftsmen performed on our front and back yards this summer. We worked with Scott as our designer and found him to be responsive and collaborative. Elements of his design now feel more like an art installation than new bushes and rocks, and his artistic eye meant that one day I even found him personally pruning one of our trees. The work crew led by Carlos and Victor was also prompt, hardworking and gave attention to detail. OC will likely not come in as the least expensive bid, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

I've enjoyed their work for many years. Our backyard was redone by them around 2016 and it was quite the transformation. We went from a basic backyard that felt small and cramped to a multi-leveled oasis that feels so spacious! It's so fun to have family and friends over in our space! They did thorough and comprehensive work in making a solid foundation during the construction process- I wanted the job done right, not just cheap and quick. I love the plants they installed- it's a lovely design of patterns, colors, textures! It's a joy to look into our backyard every day and it's beauty continues to evolve and mature even years later (my favorite is the sculpted pines they put in). We're planning on having them redo our front yard as well. Thank you Outdoor Craftsmen for your beautiful work!

Outdoor Craftsmen deserves many stars! I could not keep my garden looking so well without them. Michael Polvani manages my team with such efficiency. All I do is send a quick email with grass questions, rabbit issues, pruning, irrigation, etc. and his men are out in a flash. Outdoor Craftsmen does not disappoint!
