We would give Spark Events 10* stars, if we could. My son is getting deployed earlier than expected. We had less than 2 months to plan a beautiful backyard wedding memory for the bride and groom. Spark Events was the ONLY planning company, on short notice, in Newport, during wedding season, on a Saturday night, in July, to say "No Problem! Tell us what time, where to deliver, and what you'd like." Lisa made a couple of suggestions for the arch and made it so easy for us to pick what we wanted from their website. We had the arch, 2 farm tables with scarves and glassware, 10 Tuscan chairs, and a cake table. Lisa and her husband went around our schedule for set up and break down times. Everything was beautiful.
I could go on and on. What a relief it was to have Lisa give me one less thing to worry about.
We highly recommend Spark Events! 10* !

Lisa Marie's Creative Ambiance team did a fabulous job decorating our venue for my daughter's wedding. We wanted a simple decor, with lighting and draping. Lisa Marie had some fun rentals and decor ideas that elevated the experience! She was great to work with - though it was a very busy time of year she responded immediately and positively to all of my calls, visited the venue three times to ensure that everything was properly planned and delivered exactly as promised. I got married in September 2024. I found Lisa Marie, the owner, to be very nice up front, but as my wedding day approached, a lot of extra fees started popping up. We had already signed an agreement a year prior to my wedding. For example I had her company make a few signs, “Party This Way”, etc. All of a sudden the easels and placing the sign on the easel costs extra. When I told her about this, I was met with hostility and lengthy confusing emails. The seating chart looked like something a 5 year year old could do. I would never use this service again and wish I hadn’t for my wedding day.

I was unable to get the flowers I wanted due to them not being in season, but LisaMarie and her team did their best to find something comparable for what was in season. My bouquet was stunning and exactly what I asked for. The carriage house was more than I could have ever imagined and perfectly elegant, just like I asked!

Communication was not always seamless and prices are subject to change due to the custom nature of their designs, but the work their team did day of is unmatched. DO NOT HESITATE ON HIRING THIS TEAM!! LisaMarie understood what I was looking for our wedding. We wanted a romantic, grand millennial wedding with soft lighting and a calm ambiance. When I say we delivered, I mean she went BEYOND my expectations!!! From the ceremony decor to the reception, they delivered completely. I would not hesitate to hire her again!! 10/10!!!

This is not a false review as noted by the owner. Not only was my review 4 years after my wedding, but her response is from 4 years after my 1 star review. The only reason I am updating now is because i happened to be reviewing older accounts/reviews. I did not leave a description at the time, but since Im being accused ill provide detail now since I find it hard to believe a florist would have a sign in sheet from 8 years prior, when at the time of my wedding she didnt order enough flowers to account for some loss in transit/wilting the day of, but I digress. I was married approximately 10 years ago at the time of this edit. Floral arrangements utilized flowers that were not contracted to fill out the centerpieces, cake flowers that were discussed were contracted as "cake topper flowers" and she provided only the flowers for the very top of the cake, which was not as discussed. and we were short at least one corsage and boutonniere though i do not remember if it was more than one. We luckily had a friend of a friend who was also a florist that had a different wedding that had the same colors and she had extras that saved our day. Hopefully 10 years later things have changed, though there is another review that seems to show a similar attitude.
