It’s nice to finally receive a response from you – albeit on a public forum – considering I’ve been waiting for a reply to the complaint I submitted via email two weeks ago following your company complaints procedure as per your instructions! It’s disappointing that instead of addressing my concerns professionally, you have chosen to shift blame.

To clarify, I did indeed have close family and friends over the day before, which is a standard practice for many people during such events. If you had been present and observant, you would have noticed a house full of guests and me with arms and feet covered in mendhi – a clear indication of an ongoing function. Due to the marquee not being put up on time, I not only had to call people and say they can't come yet, and turn people away in the morning! My original review described the chaos that unfolded on what was meant to be a well-organised day. Would sharing my full itinerary have made any difference to the unprofessional conduct, delays, and inadequate service you provided? How could we ask for a removal when you keep saying oh it'll be done in an hour and it's too late and too close to the main event? My sister did make the call to complain on the 19th so you were aware we were dissatisfied.

Regarding inconsistencies, when my sister called, why did Michelle feign ignorance about disappearing for two hours during the setup? This is particularly concerning since she herself answered the call. Why did she pretend it wasn’t her who visited my house the day prior, only to express surprise later? As professionals, how can you turn up late and unprepared, missing essential equipment for the marquee installation? Your excuse about Hackney traffic was insulting – as someone who has lived in the area my entire life, I am well aware of how long such a journey takes, and it certainly would not justify your significant delays.

You were late by several hours, and the marquee setup took an entire night – something that is completely unacceptable. Not to mention, you actually forgot my event was the next morning and asked to come the next morning to set up as you know it was late. Regardless of your assumptions about my event, you caused significant disruption. As marquee professionals, it was your responsibility to plan for adverse weather conditions. The next day, I noticed the marquee was not even secured into the ground properly, raising further concerns about your preparedness for such challenges – particularly in a country like the UK, where weather is unpredictable. Shouldn’t precautionary measures be a standard part of your service?

Furthermore, during this adverse weather you mention, my husband also had a marquee put up by another company on the same day, and it was perfect. This raises serious questions about the quality of your workmanship or the quality of your materials because, clearly, other companies were able to deliver a far better outcome under the same conditions. I also had thedraping fall on my guests which I've already sent photos of.

Additionally, your comment about me choosing not to sleep while your team worked is entirely unreasonable. Why would I leave a supplier unsupervised after such a chaotic start, especially when you needed access through my house? Most people would agree that trusting suppliers in such circumstances would be unwise.

I didn’t want to make this public, but your failure to respond to my initial complaint and your continued lack of accountability have left me no choice. Google reviews exist so customers can share their genuine experiences, and mine was one of frustration, disappointment, and tears during an event that was incredibly important to me. Your lack of professionalism turned what should have been a special day into one filled with unnecessary stress and chaos.
